Have Faith Post Sandy

Have Faith is an image I photographed in Soho in 2008 while walking down Broadway in NYC. I felt like sharing this photo on my blog because I think many need a little reminder now that as hard as things may get, eg: the devastation that occurred during Hurricane Sandy, that those things will hopefully get better. For example, maybe politicians will work on helping mother nature recover from human insensitivity (eg: the fossil fuel industry, CO2 creation, tearing down rain forests, cruel animal testing, genetically modified foods, etc) so that our lives are less tumultuous.  I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I hope this will stop people from thinking that global warming is a "natural occurrence" and make them realize that we need to care for our environment.

One reason I developed
The Museum of Messages is because I feel that it is important to photograph people's visual emotions to remind others that we are not alone. Best of luck to those that were affected by Hurricane Sandy. May you have a speedy recovery!

New Photos Of Infant Clothing Shot By The Studio

I recently had a meeting with a client to plan a fashion apparel photo shoot. I thought it would be a good idea to do some test shoots before the scheduled day. That being so I photographed and edited eight articles of infant clothing.
I am glad that I had time to squeeze in a test shoot as I learned that it would be best to shoot with a wide angle lens, that the studio will need to rent,  in order to complete the client's shoot successfully.
If you'd like to take a look at the new photos you may at:

New Photos Of Home Accessories Designed By Jayes Studio

Last week the studio had a two day photo shoot that was very successful. The client Johnny from Jayes Studio and I photographed 203 home accessories from their collection on a white background. We used a Hasselblad H3D, pocket wizards, 3 strobes, gobos, reflectors and white plexiglass to get the effect above. Several of the images will be used on Jayes Studio website to promote their beautiful and colorful designs that are made in India.
Above you will see two photos we shot that were edited and put together, in a spread, in post production. If you'd like to see more you may at
I am pleased to say that the client was very happy with the shoot and has scheduled another two days to photograph next week. Stay tuned for up and coming creative news from the studio.

New Product Photos From India

This week I photographed some products that came from India. Above you will see one composition that I created with a distant shot of a scarf (flush left) and then a detailed photo  of it (flush right).
After photographing it in various ways (I took a total of 20 shots with different lighting schemes) I selected the two photos above, edited them in post production so they popped a bit more, and laid them out in a spread, which you can see above.
I think the lighting and movement of the image is quite nice!!! Do you agree?
If you'd like to see some other new images you may at
If you or someone you may know needs assistance in having their products photographed feel free to call or email my studio at 212-673-6584 or

Yes Future

Recently I was in Bayonne, France and walked by this message that stated, "Yes Futur".  Originally there was no "e" at the end of "futur" so in post production I added that character so it read "future".

Ahhhh....the future!!! Such a mystery!!! I thought that this was a pretty powerful image because of the bridge, in the background, signifying a connection.

I have added this photo to
The Museum of Messages website. I think the composition turned out nicely.

May your future be full of peace, joy, prosperity and love.

Photo Competition - Your Help Is Appreciated

This afternoon I was inspired to enter some of my photos, from my series on "love" in The Museum of Messages, into an international photo competition called One Life.  I'd really like to continue exhibiting these images and sharing them with the general public. In order to do that it would be helpful to be awarded a cash grant and some recognition.

If you
visit and click on the link "Collect Me" at the top of the page that will help me to become more visible in the competition. Your help is much appreciated.

Studio Moved + New Website

It has been awhile since I've written content on my blog. Like most things in life, there is a reason.

After living and working in NYC for 12 years I have moved to Pound Ridge, NY to live and work in an environment that provides more space to photograph and design. Working in this space is beneficial because I can shoot more and if a client needs me to come in to help them complete a job I can because my studio is only an hour outside of the city.

Not only has my work environment changed but my website design has been updated as well. If interested in checking out the new layout you may at

If you or the company you work for needs products photographed to help promote your business feel free to give the studio a call at 212-673-6584 and or email me at  I'd be happy to help you out.
